Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta Encapsulation

What is Placenta Encapsulation?

There are many ways to benefit from your placenta after birth and all are equally spiritual and physically supportive to the new mother and her newborn.  The mostmodern and uninvasive way to consume the placenta is in capsule form, also known as placenta encapsulation ei. placenta pills or placenta capsules.  There are two types of encapsulation methods, Raw dried capsules and TCM capsules.

Raw Placenta Capsules

There are two common practices of preparing placenta for consumption in capsules. The most common and widely used is the Traditional Chinese Medicine method, and the second is the Raw placenta preparation. There are benefits to both, and women may choose either depending on their beliefs and needs.

Unlike the Traditional Chinese Medicine preparation of the placenta, when processing a placenta raw we do not steam the placenta during the process. We simply forgo the steaming process. IPEN placenta specialists dehydrate your raw placenta at 55 degrees Celsius.

There are many debates on which method is superior. In our experience we find the results of both methods to be quite similar. There are pros and cons with each method depending on a woman’s needs, beliefs, and opinions.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Placenta Encapsulation (Steamed Capsules)

Traditional Chinese Medicine capsules are made the same way as the Raw capsules only they are steamed first (In the water only is ginger, lemon and chilli)
